A Cyber-Chess Worksheet

This worksheet is designed to help the children recognise the symbols for the chess pieces. These are the symbols used in this site. Most chess books, magazines and programs used symbols very similar to these.

It allows the child to practise writing the names of the pieces out - and spelling them correctly.

It can be used as a 'note' to be included in a file by Chess Club members.

It can be set as a 'colouring-in' exercise for younger children - to make them think about the designs more carefully.
